Not even a drop. People on the other hand... could learn a thing or two. We know that water is precious, yet just 10 years ago, the UN recognized access to clean, affordable water as a basic human right. From food security to gender equality, clean energy, and health, water intersects with every one of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. It's estimated that in less than 5 years, 1.8 billion people will be living with water scarcity and two-thirds of the global population will be living in water-stressed regions. But it doesn't have to be this way. Around the world, there are existing technologies and water management approaches to shift our trajectory from water scarcity to security. But in order to do so, we have to change the way we think about water.
This optimized world is possible.
